A customer ran our Manbily U-7 Rifle Saddle Clamp on the new Primos Gen 2 sticks and sent the photos through. No bipod, no bags, no bench. A fold-up shooting seat, the sticks, and the saddle holding the rifle.
It clamps the forend, so the rail does not matter
The U-7 closes across the forend instead of mounting to a rail, and the jaws open from 3cm to 7cm, so it takes most stock and forend profiles as they come. His rifle dropped in with room to spare. The jaws are lined with thick rubber, so you can tighten down hard and still lift the rifle out with no mark on the finish.
300m off nothing but the sticks
He rang steel at 100m, 200m and 300m with no support other than the saddle and the sticks. What he came back on was the balance. The rifle sits level in the clamp and stays there, so you can swing onto the next gong and settle again without re-setting the rig.
Set the same rig up on a hillside with an animal in front of you and nothing about it changes.
